Monthly Talk: Gum Health

On 12th February Maggie Pope gave a talk about gum health. She outlined the structure of the gums and the development of plaque, which is the prerequisite of gum disease. There was a discussion about the health implications of having gingivitis, and therefore how important it is to keep the mouth as clean as possible to reduce plaque build up. If plaque is kept to a minimum then there is a reduction in risk of the dangers of inflammation and possible infection of the gums.

The benefits of using herbs to clean the mouth were outlined, and a pot of special Herbal Tooth Powder was given as a free sample to try for all the attendees.
