NOVEMBER!

This may be a repeat of our Facebook Page…

However – some of you don’t have Facebook, so I will just carry on. I want to tell you about our November seminar; we had 2 full days as usual and all the 3 years of students together. The air was a bit nippy so in one of the school rooms in Selworthy we had a log fire blazing, the rest of us had to rely on central heating.

The third years delved into the Endocrine System with Dr Richard Savage in their Anatomy & Physiology lectures, the second year had Materia Medica and the first years started off their journey into Herbal Therapeutics with a matching game on the Saturday. We swapped teachers and rooms around on the Sunday.

The training rooms at Piles Mill were enlivened with an infestation of wasps, so we also had the company of a National Trust warden complete with deer stalker [I kid you not] whose job it was to eradicate the pests. He sprayed them with an aerosol. I was expecting something a bit more countrified, but there you go.

Below are some pics of the first years working out the matching pairs – they knew more than they thought. You can also see some of us having lunch.
