Talk on Allergic Rhinitis

In February the School’s monthly talk to the local community was on the subject of Allergic Rhinitis. The content was delivered by Maggie Pope, and we heard about why the nasal mucosa becomes inflamed, how it becomes swollen and what the results are following the blocking of the Eustachian tube [difficulty hearing], the blocking of the lachrimal duct [watery eyes] and what happens when the cranial nerves from the nose are irritated [sneezing].

The talks that the School gives every month are two hours long, so a cup of tea and a break is very welcome….

As usual the School gave away a free gift. This month it was a small jar of Herbal Snuff. The actions of the herbs in this snuff will alleviate the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. Email us if you would like to know how we make it.
